Publications
The organ of our Society is the "KnasterKOPF
- Fachzeitschrift für Tonpfeifen und historischen Tabakgenuss"
(Journal of Clay-Pipe Research and the History of Tobacco),
the only periodical in German specialising on this topic.
KnasterKOPF normally appears once a year, in time for the
annual meeting of the Society in April/May. Apart from research
papers, it contains report(s) of previous meetings as well
as reports on the work of similar societies in other European
countries.
The members of the German Society for Clay-Pipe Research also
often publish their work in other publications. Articles written
by members on clay pipes and tobacco, evaluation of historical
documents, and papers on methods used in clay-pipe research
and published elsewhere are listed in KnasterKOPF in the section
on recent literature.
In addition, we now have an online series: Berichte aus dem Arbeitskreis Tonpfeifen
(Reports from the German Society for Clay-Pipe Research).
